household #400, as 24, a farmer, together with Sarah, 22, a housekeeper, born
in IN; William C., 5 , born in IN; John M., 3 born in IN; and Ulysses G., 1,
born in IN. Sarah died 5 Nov 1873. Samuel is listed in the 1880 census as
living in the household headed by his sister, Julia Hancock, John N. and
Grant, presumably his sons, living with his brother Edward. In his mother's
obituary, Samuel is listed as living in Fordsville, KY.
