Last Will and Testament of Charles Bay


I, Charles Bay, of the county of Johnson and State of Indiana do make and publish this my last will and testament, intending thereby to dispose of all the property both real and personal that I may own at the time of my death and to revoke all wills by me at any time heretofore made.

Item 1. It is my will that all my just debts, funeral expenses and costs of administration be paid by my Executor out of any money belonging to my estate that may come into his hands.

Item 2. I give and bequeath to my wife Harriett Bay the farm on which I now live in said county consisting of about 55 acres, to have and hold the same with the sents and profits for and doing the term of her natural life, and it is my will that at her death the same shall be equally divided among my children Joseph Bay, Iserel [Israel] Bay, James Bay, Laura Banhill and Jane Henderson share and share alike.

Item 3. I will and direct that my executor herein after named sell at private or public sale all my estate both real and personal not herein above bequeathed and pay out of the process these debts, funeral expenses and costs of administration and divide the residue, if any, equally among my children above mentioned and my friend Herod Cleapucau, for his faithful care and attention of me for the last twenty years, share and share alike.

Item 4. I constitute and appoint my son Iserel Bay Executor of this my last will and testament.
